FINfloorTM has been importing and distributing laminate flooring for over 10 years (and 3 ply solid engineered flooring for 5 years) and was established in 1996 as a division of the Furniture Hardware Supplies Group (trading as Eclipse), which has been active in the furniture industry as a major national supplier for the past 30+ years.
While many importers sold laminate flooring purely as a D.I.Y. product, FINfloorTM recognized the need for specialist installers and sales teams.
To accomplish this, FINfloorTM set up a chain of independent specialist franchises which now totals over 36 across South Africa. These franchises do not use sub-contractors and are responsible and accountable for both the product and installation. To maintain the high standards and stringent quality control on INOVAR® products and installations INOVAR® Floor franchises may use each other's teams in the event of a national contract. All franchise owners and their fitting teams are regularly updated on new products, trends and methods of installation with regular training sessions held at Head Office in Durban.
With a 25-year surface wear through warranty for heavy domestic applications, a 5-year surface wear through warranty for general commercial applications, and a 2-year workmanship warranty.
With this strategy, FINfloor (S.A.) (PTY) Ltd was registered as a stand alone company in 1998 to be a specialist supplier / distributor of "Decorative Laminated" wooden flooring, enabling the company to supply both the specialist / exclusive brand of INOVAR® Floor and to supply the general flooring trade with the FINfloorTM and Supreme range of flooring, with each range having it's own colours and identity.
In 2003, FINfloor (SA) (PTY) Ltd, in line with overseas trends, launched the "Woodline Parquetry" range; this is a 3-ply Engineered Solid Wood product. This was to combat the confusion in the industry in respect of the "Decorative Laminate" flooring market.
Earlier last year (2008), the ‘Timberline Collection’ was added to compliment the INOVAR® range. This exciting new range of 12mm laminated flooring was designed to have a wood effect that gives the floor a unique and natural effect.
This year (2009) FINfloorTM launched the allure range, which is a floating resilient floor. This innovative flooring concept complements FINfloor’s exising ranges as this vinyl range has all the advantages of other hard flooring, but none of the disadvantages. allure is 100% waterproof and can therefore go into wet areas.
As well as 35 INOVAR® outlets throughout South Africa and cross border FINfloor (SA) (PTY) Ltd, also has a network of over 40 flooring outlets who sell, supply and install the FINfloorTM, Woodline Parquetry and now the new Supreme range of flooring.
